Toni Gardemeister makes his comeback in auto24 Rally Estonia

Ex-works WRC driver Toni Gardemeister is back on track after his accident two years ago. Gardemeister will start in auto24 Rally Estonia with his powerful rear wheel drive BMW M3 and his co-driver is Jari Komonen. Gardemeister participates in the round of Estonian Autorally Championship which is held within auto24 Rally Estonia on Saturday 19th of June.

„It’s really nice to be back in the rallycar after more than two long years! Even if i’m taking it as pure fun and will enjoy every kilometer, i’m still sure that if i put my helmet on i will go flat out! I have been missing that adrenalin boost which you get from competing so much. Maybe i need to do some testing before auto24 Rally Estonia to get rust off from wrists. Why auto24 Rally Estonia? I really like the atmosphere of the rally there and this is the reason for me to start there. See you in Tartu!“ said Gardemeister.

FIA European Rally Championship is the longest running rally championship, celebrating 62 years in 2014. Starting from 2013, the promotor of the series is Eurosport Events who made a 10-year-agreement with the FIA.

In addition to being a part of ERC in 2014, auto24 Rally Estonia is also a round of FIA European Historic Sporting Rally Championship and Estonian Autorally Championship. auto24 Rally Estonia is held on 17-19th of July.
