Latvian rising star Ralfs Sirmacis: “Our aim in Estonia is victory!“

auto24 Rally Estonia held on 15-17th of July in Tartu, Elva and on the roads of South-Estonia brings together TOP 3 drivers of FIA ERC overall standings. Latvians Ralfs Sirmacis-Arturs Šimins are holding third place after Kajetanowicz and Lukyanuk and this is their first season with R5 car. Last year were they overall runner-up in ERC Junior category and winners of the auto24 Rally Estonia in the same category. First season with four-wheel drive car has been going well as they scored their maiden victory in FIA ERC series in Acropolis Rally. In auto24 Rally Estonia which is like a home rally for them they hope to take their second win of the season.

„This is the rally we have waiting every year as it is our favorite rally. But this year it will be for us much faster and with longer jumps as we compete here for the first time with Skoda Fabia R5 car. I’m sure we will enjoy in Estonia every jump and corner and it will be really fun! Our aim is to win in Estonia because if you don’t have ambitions there is no point to compete,“ said Sirmacis.
