Karl Kruuda: „We haven’t decided yet is it Martin or me who will drive the Elva city special.“


Fast, colorful and always full of great ideas – this is Karl Kruuda who is no doubt one of the favorites as we talk about the winner of this years auto24 Rally Estonia. He’s co-driver is Martin Järveoja and the car Citroen DS3 R5 which has like always attractive livery. They just ended testing in South-Estonia and headed now to Poland, to the WRC event. Participating in their home event, auto24 Rally Estonia is the most important event of the year for them.

„auto24 Rally Estonia is for us more then just a rally. It is most important event for us when we can drive on familiar, very fast and smooth roads which is an pure pleasure. Friends, sponsors, fans and fast competitors, everybody are here. It is also very important that one of this years city specials takes place in Elva which is Martin’s hometown. We haven’t decided yet is it Martin or me who will drive the Elva city special as he knows the streets of Elva better then me. We are looking forward this week in South-Estonia which is full of autosport and entertainment and winning here is of course in our minds,“ says Karl Kruuda.

auto24 Rally Estonia is this year also round of FIA ERC Junior clas. This has attracted many young Estonian drivers and Estonian championship leader in junior category Miko Niinemäe with Martin Valter (Peugeot 208 R2) is ready for the battle with ERC Junior crews. They are the only Estonian crew to compete in ERC Junior category. Besides them will six Estonian young drivers start in auto24 Rally Estonia but not in ERC Junior category. Rasmus Uustulnd-Imre Kuusk, Sander Siniorg-Karl-Artur Viitra, Oliver Ojaperv-Jarno Talve, Kenneth Sepp-Tanel Kasesalu, Gustav Kruuda-Ken Järveoja and Karl Martin Volver-Margus Jõerand. All crews except Volver-Jõerand who drive Peugeot 208 R2, will drive Ford Fiesta R2.
