Kajetanowicz adds competition to auto24 Rally Estonia
As Kajetan Kajetanowicz and Jaroslaw Baran with their Lotos Rally Team Ford Fiesta R5 are the latest addition to auto24 Rally Estonia entry list, the competition for the victory is getting stronger and stronger. For the 4-times Polish champion Kajtenowicz is auto24 Rally Estonia first start on Estonian smooth and fast gravel roads and he defenitely wants to get as many as possible championship points to fight for the first place overall in FIA ERC.
After Rally Ypres is Kajetanowicz in the second place losing 21 points to championship leader Craig Breen who will be one of his main rivals in Estonia. It has been a good battle this year between Breen and Kajto, like the fans call him. Kajto was the winner in Jännerrallye, first round of 2015 FIA ERC. Next round in Latvia brought him an retirement and in Ireland and Azores was Kajto second as Breen won both events. So the fight between them will defenitely continue in auto24 Rally Estonia. But they both have to face the fast local drivers as they want to win the biggest autosport event in Baltics and also trophy helmet, designed and hand-painted specially for this rally.
Kajetan Kajetanowicz: „The first outing in auto24 Rally Estonia – faster than legendary Rally Finland – can thrill even the most experienced competitor. The learning process has to be extremely quick in Estonia because you tackle a huge part of the route, many blind corners and crests in top gear, pedal to the metal. I will do my best to extract every single horsepower from our Fiesta R5. auto24 Rally Estonia is a challenge which we relish: interesting, unpredictable and a bit crazy – which makes it really fascinating. This round of FIA European Rally Championship will be the most difficult one for us when it comes to scoring and this is why the points secured in Estonia will be extremely valuable for me.”
„Having Kajto in our event is a very good news for us. He will defenitely make the competition stronger and as he is one of the stars of FIA ERC he adds great value to our event. Poland is a very important market for both Estonia and auto24 Rally Estonia. We hope to see many Polish fans with flags cheering Kajto and other Polish drivers,“ says Urmo Aava, director of auto24 Rally Estonia.
Total 50 crews from 18 countries are at the moment in the entry list of auto24 Rally Estonia.
