Rally Estonia
Fia WRC Autosport

In order to protect everyone involved in Rally Estonia, all of us need to follow strict rules and a code of conduct.

The Rally Estonia Anti-Covid Unit has created an action plan, that involves preventing the spread of COVID-19. Access to the High Density area (Service Park, HQ and Media Centre) will be limited. All people requiring access to the area need to get a wristband with an NFC chip. The passes will be issued according to the data filled in the COVID-19 self-declaration form and confirmed by the Tteam representatives. In addition, each person needs to be tested negative for coronavirus in a SYNLAB testing facility within 48 hours before receiving the accreditation wristband. Access to High Density area will be restricted from Monday, 12 July at 7:00 AM local time. After this deadline, only the people approved for accreditation can access the High Density area.

The entire testing and accreditation process for teams, drivers, officials, WRC Promoter, media, suppliers and everyone else who is granted access to the HD area is as follows:

  1. By now, all people who require accreditation should have filled in the COVID-19 self-declaration on the Organiser's website.
  2. Team representatives have to confirm the list of their team members (the list will be sent for confirmation shortly).
  3. Everyone needs to do a PCR test within 48 hours before getting the accreditation wristband. The testing times and locations are given below.
  4. Test results will be communicated to mobile phone numbers submitted in the self-declaration. The testing partner SYNLAB will also share results with the team representatives and the medical personnel of the Anti-COVID Unit in case you need some medical support. If you haven't received your PCR test result in 20 hours after testing, please contact your team representative or e-mail covidinfo@rallyestonia.ee
  5. After receiving your negative PCR test result, you will get your accreditation wristband at the Accreditation Centre on the parking lot of the Estonian National Museum. A dedicated representative of the Organiser has access to the PCR test results, so there is no need to communicate your result to the Organiser.
  6. At the accreditation centre, please present your ID and you will receive your wristband. NB! The wristband is personal and the NFC chip on it will be checked each time you enter an access controlled area.

PCR testing locations and opening times

Testing is conducted by SYNLAB based on the information (who is arriving when and where) submitted by the participants to the Rally Estonia organisers via the COVID-19 self-declaration form. Only the people who have filled in the self-declaration will be tested. Everyone needs to have an ID with them and wear a mask at the testing facilities.

NB! Upon arriving at the testing point, you will be asked whether you prefer to give a sample the usual way, from the nasopharynx or from pharyngeal washings. To give the sample, the patient is given 10 millilitres of physiological saline solution, which the patient gargles in the mouth (it is important to understand that it is not the same as using a mouth wash). A video showing how to give a sample using this method is available here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nD82q8aleEv
