Today, on 22 November, the International Automobile Federation FIA unveiled the European Rally Championship (ERC) calendar for the 2024 season, and after a seven-year break, Rally Estonia has joined the ERC calendar once again. The best of the European Championship will compete in the fourth round of the ERC season on 5-7 July on the roads of South Estonia. The ERC Rally Estonia is also one of the JERC (Junior) rounds. Rally Estonia, which has been hosting the top drivers of the World Rally Championship for the last four years, is no stranger to the ERC series, since the top event in South Estonia was part of the European Championship calendar during the seasons of 2014-2016. In 2014, Rally Estonia, as a newcomer to the series, was also voted the ERC “Rally of the Year”.

While at that time the ERC series was promoted by Eurosport Events, today the ERC series is under the management of WRC Promoter GmbH, with whom Rally Estonia has worked very closely in the WRC years and who has been a guide in hosting the WRC series. The team of Rally Estonia has worked very hard in the last six months in cooperation with the WRC Promoter to ensure that Rally Estonia's successful journey as a host of both the ERC and WRC series can continue in the coming years. It is a pleasure to announce that Rally Estonia will be part of the WRC Series calendar again in 2025.

Urmo Aava, Director of Rally Estonia: "It is very important for us that we have been working for more than half a year to conclude a multi-annual agreement with WRC Promoter, which would entail the holding of both the European and World Rally Championship rounds in Estonia. Many thanks for all commitment and contribution to the WRC Promoter and the Estonian Ministry of Culture, who is developing a new investment plan for major international sports events in Estonia.

There is an increasing number of participants in the ERC series driving Rally2 cars and I believe that next year there will be quite a lot of Estonian crews competing in Rally2 cars at the home round of the European Championship. The possibility that some of them will reach TOP3 is very, very high and it will be a good opportunity for the young drivers to achieve a great result in the title race and compare themselves with the best from Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and other countries. I am eagerly looking forward to it. I foresee a lot of positivity and I want to contribute with the whole Rally Estonia team to build an even stronger foundation for the future organization of the WRC round in Estonia.
I would recommend all rally fans to book the first weekend of July in their calendars already today and to come and cheer for our own drivers, as ERC Rally Estonia 2024 is waiting for you!"

Iain Campbell, European Rally Championship Manager: “Having won ‘Event of the Year’ when Rally Estonia first appeared on the FIA European Rally Championship calendar back in 2014, and following its success on the WRC stage, we are delighted to be heading back to Estonia in July. WRC Promoter will bring all the resource to the event that is does with WRC – all stages live, behind-the-scenes footage and global coverage. The competition in ERC is incredibly fierce, and we see this continuing over the ultra-fast and challenging stages of Estonia.”

The tickets for the ERC Rally Estonia 2024 will become available in the online shop on the Rally Estonia website www.rallyestonia.com on Friday, 24 November at 10:00.

The FIA European Rally Championship round ERC Rally Estonia 2024 will be held on the roads of Tartu and South Estonia on 5-7 July. The start and finish podium of Rally Estonia with its varied entertainment programme will be located in its beloved venue, Tartu Town Hall Square, while the rally HQ and service park will be after a four-year break hosted by Tehvandi Sports Centre in Otepää once again.
